Self Storage And Non Working Vehicles
| There seems to be some sort of
demand for a self storage facility that will accept non-working vehicles. A
high demand probably not, a small demand in every town, probably so. This is
not only for car enthusiasts, but many people who have vehicles they just
purchased and do not have a place to store them at for the moment. Some have
to the get their vehicles fixed up and in running condition and they do not
have anywhere to park their car until they do get them fixed up. The car buff
that collects older model vehicles as a hobby to work on and re-sell might
need this storage. Or the parents who purchased an older model vehicle that
needs a little work before presenting to their newly licensed high school
graduate, they also need a storage place to store these vehicles. And if you
look around you will find that it is not that easy to find a place where you
can store a vehicle that is not in running condition, or not yet licensed.
So, what do these people do? They search and search every storage facility in
town asking the same question and only receiving the ever so dreadful answer
they were hoping not to expect to hear. Sorry but the car has to be in
running condition and licensed in the renters name. There is nothing that we
can do for you. The apartment renter who is only allowed one vehicle parking
space or the home owner who is not allowed to park their non-working vehicles
on the street. They risk the chance of getting towed by the city and either
losing it all together because they cannot pay the outrageous towing and
storage fees. What do they do? It seems like these are the only self storage
facility seekers that cannot ever find a storage space to fit their needs.
The typical self storage facility requires that you have your vehicle titled, licensed, registered and in running condition. And then there is a split for some self storage facilities as to whether they need a full tank of gas or a practically an empty tank when storing at their properties, not to mention that they cannot work on their vehicles while stored on the property either. So you can imagine how these people feel when they are crushed to find out that the 1956 classic they just purchased cannot be stored in a self storage facility like they assumed it could be. There is no other option but to have to depend on a friend and swallow their pride because they now have to ask for help so they can see if they can store it at their house because they just so happens to have extra parking in their driveway. Everyone is curious to find out who will come up with a property that will be able to do these things as well as possibly offer other types of services. Maybe it will be a storage slash car parts property. Or a storage slash junk yard is which if one cannot pay their bill the company can simply sell the parts off of it in order to make up for the rental space they are past due on. Or they can sell the vehicle in whole where someone else can take up the slack and do something with the vehicle that someone else could not do. Maybe the property holds the title to the car while one is storing their vehicle there. There has to be something that someone can do. Now there is an idea. |
